Hair Ultra Refined Follicular

Hair Ultra Refined Follicular

The ultra refined follicular hair transplant is a highly innovative, top quality procedure which uses the latest tools and techniques to produce high hair growth. This procedure is performed in the same way as many other hair transplant techniques: the donor hair is removed and then inserted into a series of incisions in the recipient area of the scalp.

But there is a major difference between this and other techniques which is the use of smaller instruments and super skinny hair grafts.

What is the difference between this technique and others?

The ultra refined technique places a strong emphasis on small: as in small instruments, e.g. blades, small incisions and small grafts. These small grafts are trimmed to give a slim line appearance so that more of them can be 'packed' together on the scalp.

More grafts mean a higher density and the potential for increased hair growth. To put it simply; the higher the number of small grafts the greater the volume of hair.

Another benefit is that of reduced scarring and a quicker recovery period.

A highly skilled hair transplant procedure

Ultra refined hair transplants require ultra refined care and precision. This procedure uses ultra slim blades and needles to remove and insert the donor grafts which also increase the risk of failure. A great deal of care and attention is needed when removing the ultra-slim grafts as there is a risk of damage to these grafts.

A smaller, thinner hair graft has several advantages over the traditional 'thicker' grafts but there are downsides as well. A small graft is more fragile and likely to break compared to the larger grafts.

What about the risk of 'shock loss?' Shock loss occurs if the scalp undergoes too much stress during a hair transplant which causes damage to the hair follicles. This results in a loss of both their grafted and natural hair.

It is possible to reduce the risk of shock loss when removing ultra-thin grafts but extra care needs to be taken.

Delicate instruments combined with smaller grafts means improved results as long as the grafts are gently handled.

Hair transplants have come a long way since the days of the 'hair plugs'. These days they use precision instruments and the latest techniques to ensure a densely packed head of hair.
